True Blood Is Coming to Netflix Internationally: Thanks to Netflix's Co-Exclusive Deal with HBO

A slew of incredible dramas from HBO Max will be added to Netflix’s US library owing to the co-exclusive that Netflix has struck with HBO. You can anticipate the arrival of Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Six Feet Under, and Ballers. All five seasons of the HBO series Insecure have already debuted on Netflix.

However, the future of True Blood remains uncertain for Netflix subscribers in the US. Netflix has announced that the horror drama series will come to Netflix for an international audience. But as of now, there is no news about its arrival in the United States. For Americans, the show will be exclusively available on HBO Max, at least for the time being.

True Blood is the brainchild of creator Alan Ball and is based on the Southern Vampire Mystery novels by Charlaine Harris. Between 2008 and 2014, the series spanned 80 episodes over 7 seasons. At its peak, True Blood had 5 million viewers.

The show also received a fair amount of accolades. At the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards, it was awarded for “Outstanding Casting for a Drama.” In 2008, Anna Paquin’s portrayal of Sookie Stackhouse won her a Golden Globe for “Best Actress in a Television Series Drama.”

The story of True Blood is set in the fictitious Renard Parish in the small town of Bon Temps, Louisiana. The premise is that vampires reveal their true identity to humans after the invention of synthetic blood productized as True Blood. This technological breakthrough eliminates the predator-prey relationship between vampires and humans.

The series weaves a tapestry of dark romance, intrigue, and mysterious twists to keep the audience riveted.

The release date for True Blood on Netflix has yet to be declared officially. We will keep our ears peeled for any news about the show’s release on Netflix USA or the official release date for Netflix internationally.
