The Sinner is an American crime drama developed by Derek Simonds. It is based on a novel by Petra Hammesfhar of the same name. It features Bill Pullman as Detective Harry Ambrose, who investigates many cases and attempts to find out the reason behind ordinary people committing atrocious crimes. Initially, it was planned as a miniseries, consisting of eight episodes. After the phenomenal success and appreciation it received, the USA Network turned it into a full-fledged series, with four of its seasons airing from August 2, 2017, to December 1, 2021. As mentioned previously in the article, season 5 was canceled by USA Network, and the show did not land on any other platform after that. However, we are still hopeful of its return if some streamer, mainly Netflix, decides to save it. Notably, Netflix has saved many shows that were initially canceled, such as Lucifer.
