Thanksgiving is an American movie, released on November 17, 2023. Directed by Eli Roth and written by Jeff Rendell, the movie follows a small town in Massachusetts terrorized by a killer around the Thanksgiving holiday.

What is the plot of Thanksgiving?

This horror comedy shows a Black Friday sale where a mob enters the Right Mart department store to fill up the ration. This sale leads to bloodshed and deaths as the mob fights for discounted items, and Black Friday has actually turned black. A year later, the town trembles in fear as a murderer, donning a mask portraying John Carver, the governor of Massachusetts, begins a horrifying spree. The victims of this reign of terror are particularly those who played a role in the Black Friday tragedy. While the local sheriff delves deeper into the gruesome murders committed by this killer, it is Jessica, the store owner’s daughter, who assembles the clues. Her friends and she started to get ominous Instagram notifications from the anonymous killer.

Among the prime suspects in the murder is Jessica’s boyfriend, Bobby, who was severely injured during the sale and utterly disappeared after his baseball career came to a halt. Another suspect in the fray is Ryan, who began showing interest in Jessica following Bobby’s abrupt disappearance.

Who are the Cast Members at Thanksgiving?

The star cast of this movie, which has both humor and horror, includes Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, and Milo Manheim. It also features Jalen Thomas Brooks, Nell Verlaque, Rick Hoffman, and Gina Gershon, among others.

Is Thanksgiving out on Netflix?

Since Sony Pictures got into a deal with Netflix in 2021, every movie under the banner has landed on Netflix. As per the deal, movies are usually released on Netflix about 120 days post their box-office premiere. Hence, a March 16, 2024, release was naturally expected for this movie.

However, a recent confirmation on the Netflix page has revealed a new date. The much-anticipated movie will now be hitting the platform on February 17, 2024.

Will Thanksgiving drop on Netflix Internationally?

Many regions will get the movie soon; however, users from all the regions will not be able to stream it the same as Netflix US in the first window. Netflix India will get the movie in early 2024, similar to Netflix in the US. Meanwhile, other Asian and some European countries like Germany and the Netherlands might expect it to be dropped by the summer of 2024.

Furthermore, users from the United Kingdom have to wait for at least two years to stream Sony movies on Netflix, so they might receive Thanksgiving in 2025.

Conclusion

To sum it up, Thanksgiving will be released on Netflix US on February 17, 2024. Users from other countries might have to wait a bit longer to watch this horror comedy movie.
