Anne has been so happy playing a doting mother to her sons but the actress recently revealed that she’s been through a traumatic time because went through a miscarriage in 2015. Anne revealed that she suffered the trauma while being a part of Grounded, a one-woman, off-broadway play that ran for six weeks.

The first time it didn’t work out for me. I was doing a play and I had to give birth on stage every night.
Although she opted to not reveal her pregnancy loss, she told her friends when visiting backstage “It was too much to keep it in when I was onstage pretending everything was fine.
The actress added
I had to keep it real otherwise…So when it did go well for me, having been on the other side of it — where you have to have the grace to be happy for someone — I wanted to let my sisters know, ‘You don’t have to always be graceful. I see you and I’m with you.
Besides her abortion, the actress shares two sons, Jack, 4, and Jonathan, 8, with her husband, Adam Shulman. The actress, who has won several accolades for her ground-breaking performances, likes to keep her family away from the limelight.
