Despite attracting a huge viewers’ attention, the show creator, Alyson Fouse, took to Twitter, to state that Bounce TV has declined to do a second season for the series. His Tweet read, “I’m sorry to say that my show ‘Act Your Age’ will not be returning to Bounce for a second season. The first season will however be available on Netflix early next year. Thank you to everyone who watched and supported. It meant the world to us.”

Can Netflix Make a Renewal for Act Your Age second season?

It is certain that if the American show attracts huge attention globally in the streaming giant, its producers re-consider their decision and renew the series for a second season. 

Star Yvette Nicole Brown, also advocated to make the series popular and increase its viewership to gain a piece of positive news from the streaming giant. Her post on social media read, “Thank you so much for the support and we couldn’t agree more. Someone needs to give ‘Act Your Age’ a home. Until then, please enjoy all 16 episodes on Netflix. Please repost and share with your friends and please binge-watch for the next week. And if you don’t have time right now, just turn the show on and walk away from your TV.”

Netflix has a history of pulling out canceled shows; however, the list is not as long as it is believed. With a handful of shows including Kiefer Sutherland-led Designated Survivor, the DC series Lucifer, the NBC drama Manifest, and a handful of others, if the American show succeeds in attracting an immense viewership, the streaming giant can reconsider its decision, further bringing a second season for the audiences.

Meanwhile, a synopsis for its debut season reads, “Keisha (Campbell), a divorcée from Miami, and Angela (Brown), a recent widower from Norfolk, Virginia, are visiting their best friend Bernadette (Whitley), who’s just been awarded the key to the city. To be clear: Keisha and Bernadette are besties, and so are Angela and Bernadette — but Keisha and Angela? They’re a little bit cool on each other. In the spirit of celebrating Bernadette, however, they put their differences aside and show up with bells on. Except Bernadette was lying to get them both in town. She’s actually eloping!
