In an interview with a media house, the Hollywood actress, Angelina Jolie opens up about her dark phase, and how she dealt with her depression. During the interview, she revealed how she once hired a hitman for a ‘planned suicide.’
Speaking about the incident, Jolie went on to narrate to the media house, “They (hitmen) are not that hard to find in New York. As insane as it sounds, I think a lot of people consider suicide when they’re young.”
She said that she was aware that people around her would think that they were not enough or did enough for her loved ones. She said that they would “feel as though they didn’t give enough or do enough if she would have attempted suicide.”
She continued, “So my solution to that was if someone else had taken my life – like in a ‘robbery’ – then it would be murder, and it wouldn’t be that anyone would feel they’d let me down.”
However, later the hitman asked her to reconsider her decision and asked if she could think about it and call again in two months.

She concluded, “He was a decent enough person and asked if I could think about it and call him again in two months. Something changed in my life and I figured I’d stick it out.”
On the work front, the actress was last seen in Marvel’s internals. Her further production plans are getting featured in Maria.
In 2011, the actress opened up about her dark times, and said, “I didn’t die young, so I’m very lucky. Some other artists and people didn’t survive certain things.”
Soon after Angelina’s interview, news came that her son, Pax Jolie Pitt, suffered hip and head injuries, in a bike accident.
Besides, Angelina Jolie and Pitt’s divorce was a highly publicised affair. After Angelina filed for a divorce in 2016, it later went on to be a lengthy process. Meanwhile, the divorce was finalised in 2019.
