Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater made a rare public appearance at the 2024 Stanley Cup Final. The duo started dating after meeting on the sets of Wicked. In the viral images, they are seen enjoying the Florida Panthers beating the Edmonton Oilers.
Notably, they were on the stand of Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, wearing a Florida Panthers jersey.
Grande, who was born in Florida, was seen smiling as the Florida Panthers beat the Oilers by 3-0 and won the game, adding to the 30-year-old singer’s excitement for the date night.
The news of their affair first came out in July 2023, the same month that Grande’s split from her ex-husband, Dalton Gomez, was confirmed. The couple got married in May 2021 and filed for divorce in September 2023. They got legally separated in March 2024.
Reportedly, she did not start dating Slater before he separated from his wife, Lilly Jay. The duo tied the knot in 2018 and became parents to a boy in August 2022. He filed for divorce with Jay in July 2023.
Despite the internet being flooded with speculation, the Wicked actors have been very secretive about their relationship. Unlike other star couples, they have made public appearances very rarely. One of them was in November last year when Ariana supported the 32-year-old actor for the opening night of Spamalot on Broadway. They were also spotted on two of their dates, one in New York City and the other at Disneyland with some of their friends.
On April 11, Ariana posted a series of photos to her Instagram from CinemaCon. The snaps included her co-stars, Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Yeoh, with a little glimpse of Slater. That was the first time he appeared on the singer’s feed, with people thinking of the pictures as a soft launch.
In spite of their brewing romance, the couple has faced constant criticism for allegedly dating each other when they were still dating other people. However, their teams have denied the allegations.
