Dan Schneider Responds To 'Quiet on Set' Allegations In YouTube Video

“Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” premiered on Investigation Discovery, and the man who has been blamed for all the abuse has stood up to open up on the issue. Following serious allegations, including those of toxicity, racism, and others, Dan Schneider has shared what he felt and realized. The Amanda Show and Drake & Josh creator parted ways with Nickelodeon in 2018.

Now, many claims that were made in the four-part docu-series have made Schneider go into detail in a YouTube video. The 19-minute interview on Schneider’s channel is conducted by BooG!e, who played the character of T-Bo on Schneider’s iCarly.

The 58-year-old screenwriter said,

Watching over the past two nights was very difficult.

Me facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and that I regret, and I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.

These remarks come from the writer of many hits on the channel after his former employees criticized him as a boss in the documentary. Several people condemned the way Schneider treated them and how he used inappropriate and sexual humor during his work. Not only this, but the people who participated in the docu-series called the atmosphere of the set very harmful.

Meanwhile, Schneider had declined an interview for “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” However, he felt the need to address many accusations made against him regarding how he treated people who worked under him.

At first, he spoke up about the claims that he asked for massages from his employees. While confirming these claims, Schneider said,

It was wrong that I ever put anybody in that position.

Further, he talked about the claims that he behaved inappropriately in the writers’ room with other members. He said,

Most TV writers, comedy writers have been in writers’ rooms and they are aware that a lot of times there are inappropriate jokes made and inappropriate topics come up, but the fact that I participated in that, especially when I was leading the room, it embarrasses me. I shouldn’t have done it.
