Drake Bell Clarifies Former Co-Star Josh Peck Reached Out To Him

‘Drake and Josh’ fame Drake Bell, who recently highlighted going through abuse as a kid, has opened up about his former co-star, Josh Peck. Bell said that Peck has reached out to him amidst the abuse allegations cited in the Investigation Discovery documentary.

Earlier, Bell shared in the docuseries ‘Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV’ that he was abused by his former voice coach, Brian Peck.

Notably, in 2004, Brian Peck was convicted of sexually assaulting a Nickelodeon child actor. However, the name of the minor was not disclosed during the investigations. Now, with this latest series, Drake Bell has opened up about being the victim of that abuse. Bell was just 15 at the time.

After the disclosure, netizens were quick to criticize Josh Peck for staying quiet on the matter. The two actors partnered up for Drake & Josh for four seasons, from 2004 to 2007.

People started commenting on the latter’s social media accounts for his ignorance on the matter. One user wrote, “The silence is so loud Josh.. makes me sad,” while another said, “The silence is disgusting.”

Therefore, Drake Bell posted a TikTok video clarifying that Peck reached out to him privately. He urged fans to “take it a little easy” on Josh Peck.

I just want to clear something up,

the actor said in the video.

I’ve noticed a lot of comments on some of Josh’s TikToks and some of his posts and I just want to let you guys know that processing this and going through this is a really emotional time and a lot of it is very, very difficult.

Drake continued,

So not everything is put out to the public, but I just want you guys to know that he [Peck] has reached out to me, and it’s been very sensitive, but he has reached out to talk with me and help me work through this and has been really, really great. So I just wanted to let you guys know that and to take it a little easy on him.
