Enola Holmes, a 2020 Mystery film with Millie Brown as the lead character, received the Las Vegas Film Critics Society Awards and a towering 88 per cent rating. Debuted on September 23, 2020, the film earned a huge viewership, and a sequel was announced and released in November 2022 on the streaming giant, Netflix. Will there be an Enola Holmes 3?
The teenage detective, Enola Holmes, on November 7, 2023, announced a threequel. Netflix’s then-boss, Scott Stuber, in an interview with Collider, shared plans and said the third part is in the works.
In his statement, he praised Millie Bobby Brown and said that they are thrilled to extend Enola Holmes’ story with her on board. He quoted,
You know, she’s such a great homegrown star for us. I mean, Stranger Things is huge for us in that, and watching her grow as an actress. We have a film called Damsel with her in the spring, which I’m excited about, [from] Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. Then, getting that character right. The Holmes IP is weirdly elastic. Warner Bros. did an incredible job with Downey and Jude Law, so this idea that we can extend that IP with her is exciting. So, we’re working once again on a screenplay to try to get that. But yes, aspiration. I’d like to do another one.
Release Dates
Though the sequel received a green light, a release date for a third part of Enola Holmes has yet to be announced. According to sources, Enola Holmes 3 is set to begin production in 2025, and it is expected that Harry Bradbeer, who directed the first two films, will return.
The script is penned by Jack Thorne, the writer behind the previous movies.

Since the script is in the works, it is too early to know what Enola Holmes 3 will be about. However, given where Enola Holmes 2 left off, there are plenty of stories to tell. When the second film ended, Enola opened a new office in the London location for the detective agency behind Edith’s (Susan Wokoma) jiu-jitsu studio, and she and Tewksbury declared their love for one another.
