Arnold Schwarzenegger’s action comedy series Fubar premiered its first season in May 2023. Within one month of its release, the title was renewed by Netflix for a second season. Tudum reported,
Arnold Schwarzenegger announced that he’ll “be back” as Luke Brunner for more laughs and shenanigans in front of the camera (and behind the scenes) in FUBAR Season 2.
Due to the Hollywood strikes, the series was unable to get into the production stage. However, the filming dates for season 2 have been set now that the strikes are over.
The Directors Guild of Canada has updated its website and unveiled the filming date for Fubar season 2. The pre-production stage includes finalizing the script, filming locations, hiring the actors, and setting the production budget. As per the DGC website, it has already started on February 5 and will end on April 28.
Further, the production is set for four months, from April 29 to August 28, according to the website. Along with that, picture post-production and sound post-production, which means editing, adding VFX and sound effects, and polishing the overall content to finalize the final product, will begin on April 29 and September 23, and end on September 22 and November 1, respectively. As mentioned earlier, we have the whole production and post-production timeline of the series. However, the dates could be extended if any complexities are faced.
Fubar Season 2 Release Date
Since the sound post-production is scheduled to be wrapped up on November 1, we cannot expect the show to return before that. The earliest we can see Fubar season 2 is November 2024. However, the show was not mentioned in the list of shows arriving on Netflix in 2024. So, it could be made available for streaming in early 2025.
