Google has just released a new feature for Gemini Advanced subscribers that lets the AI recall and reference your past chats for more tailored help. That means you no longer need to start every new conversation from scratch or scroll through a cluttered chat history to find what you said before.
With this update, whenever you start a new chat, Gemini can:
- Summarize previous conversations,
- Ask follow-up questions about something you’ve already discussed,
- And build upon any ongoing projects or earlier conversations.
Gemini will even let you know if it’s pulling details from your past chats to shape its responses. This upgrade builds on the Saved Info feature Google introduced in November, which lets you set personal preferences—like avoiding meat recipes if you’re vegetarian or using JavaScript for coding examples.
This recall capability is rolling out in English now for Gemini Advanced members who subscribed through Google One AI Premium. You can use it on both the web and the mobile app. Google also promises that additional language support and availability for Google Workspace Business/Enterprise users will follow in the coming weeks.
