Gypsy-Rose Alcida Blanchard-Anderson, the American author and The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup’s fame is pregnant with her first child. She made headlines after she was convicted of second-degree murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, who mentally and physically abused her for years. The horrific story was also adapted from one of the psychological films, Run.
The pregnancy news was shared by Gypsy via a YouTube video which was titled, “I’m Pregnant: My Journey So Far.” The video, which was posted on her YouTube channel, read, “I know the rumours have been flying around for quite some time now. And I’m happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant.”
She added, “Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January of 2025. This was not planned at all, it was completely unexpected, but we’re both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood.”
In the same video, she addressed her fan’s comments that advised her to not plan a child as she was not “ready” to become a mother. She said, “I know that there are going to be people who feel like I’m not ready to be a mother. And I don’t know if anyone’s ready to be a mother.”
Later, she got emotional about the opportunity she had received to become a mother while mentioning the traumatic relationship she had with her mother. Her statement read, “All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby. I am a mother now, I am happy, and I just want to be a good mother to my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn’t.”

In May, Gypsy Rose, in a YouTube video, talked about rebounding with her ex-boyfriend, Urker. While serving her prison sentence for killing her mother, she had a relationship with Urker.
However, in 2018, before her 2023 release, the couple was separated. And during that time, Gypsy married to Ryan Anderson; the marriage took place while she was still serving her prison sentence.
However, after her marriage with Anderson fell apart, she decided to rekindle her relationship with Urker. She talked about the same in a statement, “It wasn’t until I knew that my marriage was over that I was like, ‘I would like to see you and let’s hang out because we never got to hang out before when I was in prison.”
