Actor Joey King and director Steven Piet have been inseparable since they first crossed paths in 2019. Four years later, they seal their love in an intimate ceremony in the picturesque backdrop of Spain. News of their beautiful union broke recently, and fans couldn’t be happier.
The 24-year-old “Bullet Train” actress and her 32-year-old director husband exchanged vows in a heartfelt celebration that marked the beginning of their life together as a married couple. The couple decided to keep the ceremony intimate. Only their closest family and friends were in attendance.
Earlier in the week, King had shared a series of adorable photos from their time in Portugal. The caption read, “Love is cool! Love is grand! Love is kissing in front of the Fonte dos Amores and having too many caipirinhas together.” It was a heartwarming glimpse into their dreamy love story.

In 2019, Piet directed two episodes of King’s acclaimed Hulu miniseries, “The Act.” A connection was built between them that grew stronger over time. It led to their engagement in March which she announced on Instagram. She shared the news with a picture of her wearing the ring and beautiful caption that read,
“I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can’t help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy. I never knew that a person’s presence and heart could feel like a real home. I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful. I never knew until you.”
Piet’s words too painted a vivid picture of their love story: “The weather was less than perfect. Cold. Windy. Perfectly imperfect to ask my best friend to spend a lifetime together. A lifetime of incredibly safe and vulnerable conversations. Holding hands on silent cab rides home, exhausted from great food and red wine. And oh, the laughter. The uncontrollable laughter.”
