John Wick star Keanu Reeves is all set to voice Shadow in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The 59-year-old actor will join the voice cast for the highly anticipated film. Meanwhile, Paramount premiered the first footage for Sonic 3 at CinemaCon, which was held earlier this month.
In the clip, we saw Jim Carrey’s character, Dr. Robotnik, being depressed after the events of the second installment of the franchise. However, Shadow the Hedgehog is dark and edgy but also has powers similar to those of heroes.
The Sonic movie franchise first started in 2020 with the title Sonic the Hedgehog. Interestingly, it became a huge box-office success and garnered more than $300 million. While the video game space genre was not usually successful on screens, Sonic the Hedgehog became a record-breaker.
In 2022, the second installment of Sonic came out, titled Sonic 2. It was also a success, having collected more than $400 million across the world.

Meanwhile, Reeves has maintained his position as one of the highest-paid and highest-grossing stars in the Hollywood industry. He, like many other stars, faced a commercial downfall. However, John Wick in 2014 made him the most successful actor in the action genre.
All the installments of John Wick, namely Chapter 2 in 2017, Chapter 3 – Parabellum in 2019, and Chapter 4 in 2023, featured Keanu Reeves. Not only this, it can also have a fifth part, which means John Wick 5. Reeves is also featured in the upcoming action film, where he stars alongside Aziz Ansari, Seth Rogen, Keke Palmer, and Sandra Oh.
His upcoming role as a guardian angel will definitely show fans that Reeves’ acting is not just limited to action scenes.
Notably, the Canadian-born actor made his acting debut in 1984 with the TV series Hangin’ In. He went on to play many characters and gain wide recognition.
