Fans of the recently released Netflix original series Nobody Wants This are already wondering when Season 2 will be available. Netflix has not yet decided whether to renew the series, but we are hopeful that it will have a great premiere and will have a good indication of whether it will be renewed in the coming weeks. Netflix’s original romance comedy, Nobody Wants This, was made by 3 Arts Entertainment and starred Erin Foster.

Featuring Kristen Bell (The Good Place) and Adam Brody (Shazam), the ten-part comedy follows asexual sex podcaster Joanne as she unwittingly develops feelings for the dashing and charismatic rabbi Noah. As of this writing, Netflix has not decided whether or not to order a second season of Nobody Wants This. Released viewing numbers over the next several weeks will decide renewal. We could witness the series’ renewal shortly if it begins strongly. It may be the end of the road for the Erin Foster comedy after just one season if Nobody Wants This suffers in the viewing ratings.

What Is ‘Nobody Wants This’ Season 2 About?

If you watched the entire first season in one sitting, you know that at the end of the episode, Noah receives an opportunity to become the head Rabbi. Joanne may be head over heels for her Jewish suitor, but she isn’t exactly thrilled about the prospect of converting for love. However, Noah pulls a Johnny Depp and chases after her when she tells him they need to end the relationship, saying he values being with her above all else.

What does that mean for their future? Does he truly intend to completely upend his life only to be with her? Could that possibly irritate her? Otherwise, will she just convert in the end? These would be the kinds of things that a second season would probably tackle. Spoiler alert! The show’s creator, Erin Foster, recently told Vulture that she wants to investigate the conversion process. Yeah, I’m assuming that’s where we’re going since the series is based on Erin’s real life, and she converted to Judaism to be with her husband, Simon Tikhman.

Who would be in the cast of ‘Nobody Wants This’ season 2?

It would be surprising if Kristen Bell and Adam Brody did not return as Joanne and Noah, respectively, if the season were to be renewed. It would be great if Justine Lupe could reprise her role as Morgan, Joanne’s sister, and Timothy Simons could play Sasha, Noah’s brother.

Recurring actors Paul Ben-Victor, Stephanie Faracy, Sherry Cola, Jackie Tohn, and Tovah Feldshuh are also being considered.

When will season two of ‘Nobody Wants This’ be released?

According to What’s On Netflix, the first season was shot in a very short period, from January to April this year. That doesn’t necessarily mean there will be a second season soon, but who knows when further episodes will be greenlit? Everyone in production understands what they’re doing.
