Munn, talking about her treatment said, “When I first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding, that I knew I had found a real-life angel. Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for 9 months and made our dreams come true.”
Besides, John Mulaney also took to social media to announce the heartfelt update. He wrote, “I love my little girl so much.” He also added, “We stole so much stuff from the hospital.”

The actress wrote, “I am so proud of my little plum, my little dragon for making the journey to be with us. My heart has exploded.”
In 2021, Mulaney and Munn welcomed their first child, a son named Malcolm. Two years later, in 2023, the actress was diagnosed with cancer and underwent chemotherapy treatment along with several surgeries. In May 2024, she revealed her hysterectomy experience and revealed freezing eggs multiple times before surgery. The most recent retrieval resulted in two surgeries.
Munn told Vogue recalling her experience having a child via surrogacy, “You’re doing all this work to eat well, try to not have anxiety, just do all the right things during the pregnancy. With a surrogate, you have to try to go find a version of yourself somewhere out in the world. Somebody that you trust as much as yourself to live their life as a pregnant woman the same way that you would.”
