Overlord Season 5: Will There Be a New Season?

Overlord Season 5: Will There Be a New Season?

Season 4’s last episode, “The Witch of the Falling Kingdom,” was just published by Studio Madhouse. With an incredible season finale, the producers have left the fandom yearning for more of Ainz’s story. With millions of viewers, it’s no wonder that fans of the immensely successful anime series Overlord are eagerly anticipating Season 5.

Is There an Overlord Season 5 Release Date?

The next season is probably going to be the final, although there’s no release date just yet. The reason is, that author Kugane Maruyama has mentioned that he would like the light novels to conclude with Volume 18. Neither 17 nor 18 have been revealed yet, and there is currently no indication of when they may be. This means that Season 5 is almost certainly on the way, but we doubt it will be turned into an anime until it has a satisfying conclusion.

Overlord Season 5’s Potential Cast

Fans of Overlord may look forward to seeing several familiar faces return for Season 5 whenever it becomes available to the public.

Ainz Ooal Gown (Satoshi Hino in Japan, Chris Guerrero in the US) is, of course, at the front of this. Ainz Ooal Gown has been the protagonist and central character of Overlord from the start, playing the role of a former salaryman who finds himself transported to a mystery planet.

Some of the floor guardians that the protagonist has battled in previous seasons will undoubtedly be joining Ainz, and some of them may even go on to join him in his pursuit of power.

Several creatures serve as floor guards, including the succubus Albedo, the demonic Demiurge (who wears a suit), and the dark elf twins Mare Bello Fiore and Aura Bella Fiora.

Below is a complete roster of everyone you can expect to see in Overlord Season 5:

  • Albedo – Yumi Hara (Japanese) / Elizabeth Maxwell (English)
  • Aura Bella Fiora – Emiri Katō (Japanese) / Jill Harris (English)
  • Ainz Ooal Gown – Satoshi Hino (Japanese) / Chris Guerrero (English)
  • Antilene Heran Fouche – Yukari Tamura (Japanese) / Monica Rial (English)
  • Demiurge – Masayuki Katou (Japanese) / Jeff Johnson (English)
  • Lumière – Saori Ōnishi (Japanese) / Jennifer Alyx (English)
  • Mare Bello Fiore – Yumi Uchiyama (Japanese) / Megan Shipman (English)

Overlord Season 5: What Could Have Happened?

The release date of the show’s fifth season is still up in the air. But we expect it to go into the last arc because it is based on Kugane Maruyama’s light novel and So-bin drew it. The serialization of the light novel began in 2010 and is still going strong. There are a total of sixteen volumes, with the anime covering chapters one through eleven. Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom, the next anime film, will reportedly cover volumes 12 and 13.

That leaves volumes 14–18 as possible topics for season 5. Just so you know, Maruyama still hasn’t dropped Vol. 17 and Vol. 18. So volumes 14, 15, and 16 may be explored in Overlord Season 5. The conflict is the sole subject of all three volumes. The planet of Overlord appears to be teetering on the brink of collapse due to the breakdown of the conflict. War is declared between Nazarick and the Re-Estize Kingdom. Ainz Ooal Gown, the protagonist, has issues with it right away.

Fans have been able to witness the Re-Estize and Sorcerer kingdoms fight it out from the start of the War of Annihilation. On the other hand, the main character of the anime is already facing a lot of problems because Ainz’s guild headquarters appear to be right in the center of the battlefield. So, to calm things down, he and his fellow guild members have decided to defend their headquarters and guild by bringing down the Sorcerer Kingdom. Ainz will make wiser choices even as the battle heightens the difficulties.
