Pokémon With Guns Game Palworld to be Released for Early Access on January 19

Palword, the Pokemon-like shooter game, will launch on January 19 for early access, as per the latest trailer. The game will be available on a game pass from the first day. The first trailer for Palworld was released in 2021 and grabbed the attention of viewers because of the unique Pokemon-like creatures, known as pals. Initially, the Palword trailers portray the game as a cute and charming version of Pokemon. The creatures will be fighting with weird monsters, but it is not as cute as it seems.

The game developer Pocketpair wrote surprising answers to the FAQ on their Steam page. In a question asking “What kind of game is this?” the answer seems to be, “Pals can be used to fight, or they can be made to work on farms or factories. You can even sell them or eat them!” The game allows users to fight, sell, eat, or exploit the pals. The Steam page of the game says, “Build a factory, place a pal in it, and they’ll keep working as long as they’re fed—until they’re dead, that is.” One of the sections also says, “Want to build a pyramid? Put an army of Pals on the job. Don’t worry; there are no labor laws for Pals.” The trailer also shows a pile of corpses of pals, which pretty much proves the point.

The game allows users to capture over a hundred pals. They can also use these pals to perform some tasks for you. It features base building, crafting, dungeons, enemy factions, giant Pal bosses, and mounts. Initially, this multiplayer game will allow up to 32 players, and the player-versus-player feature will be added later. Pocketpair has also confirmed that more types of pals will be added to the game after its launch.
