Savage Beauty Returns: Netflix Confirms Season 2 in 2024

“Savage Beauty” is set to make a comeback with a highly anticipated second season. Production is already underway and fans can expect a continuation of the captivating narrative in 2024. Created by Lebogang Mogashoa and produced by Quizzical Pictures, this South African gem first was released in May 2022. It introduced us to the Bhengu family and the dark secrets hidden within their global beauty empire.

At the center of it all is a mysterious woman who infiltrates this powerful dynasty. She sets the stage for a series of shocking revelations. The show’s cast includes Rosemary Zimu, Dumisani Mbebe, Nthati Moshesh, Angela Sithole, and Jesse Suntele. 

Netflix made a teasing announcement, saying that “… the mystery drama series following the powerful Bhengu family and their global beauty empire is set to return with another drama-filled season, and everyone is out for revenge.

The announcement came as part of Netflix’s exciting lineup reveal at MIP Africa, where they showcased an array of upcoming South African series and movies. Alongside the renewal of fan-favorite “Young, Famous & African” for its third season, audiences were treated to sneak peeks of “Miseducation” and “Blood & Water,” promising a rich tapestry of storytelling from the region.

During its initial run, “Savage Beauty” claimed a spot in the global Netflix top 10 charts for a remarkable two weeks between May 8th and May 22nd. The show amassed a staggering 22.02 million hours of viewing worldwide. It also earned a place in the daily Netflix TV top 10 lists in 30 countries, including the United States, albeit for a single day.
