Selena Gomez is looking forward to becoming a mom someday. However, in an interview, the actress revealed that she will not be able to experience pregnancy and give birth owing to the complications.

In an interview with Vanity Fears on Monday, Gomez was candid about wanting to start a family and boyfriend Benny Blanco in the future. However, it was said that it won’t, “necessarily [be] the way I envisioned it.”

In an interview, she told the publication, “But I, unfortunately, can’t carry my children. I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while.”

Selena Gomez, who has been open about her struggles with Lupus revealed her diagnosis and said, “I thought it would happen the way it happens for everyone. I’m in a much better place with that. I find it a blessing that wonderful people are willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me.

Later, she added, “I’m excited for what that journey will look like, but it’ll look a little different. At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby.”

The interview came four months after her partner, Blanco dating the Rare Beauty founder since 2023 gushed to Howard Stern that having kids with his girlfriend, “It’s always a topic of conversation to me every day,”

As she stated, the biggest priority in her life was her relationships. She explained, “Before I met my boyfriend, I was single for five years, except for going on a few dates. And I was like, ‘OK, if this is the vibe, then what is the most important thing to me? Family.”
