According to recent updates, the ninth season of the series has neither been renewed nor canceled in 2024, but now, in 2025, it has been released in October.
While the reason behind the delay is unknown, the cast feud has been swirling around the internet, eventually raising several controversies. Chrishell Stause, an agent at Oppenheim Group Sunset Blvd Office, and one of the primary cast members of Selling Sunset, announced her decision to leave the show amid rising fights in the show.
Her statement read, “I will never work on a show with her again. After eight seasons and seeing someone systematically try to plot against several people … Why are we giving her more airtime? The audience doesn’t want to see this or hear this. When somebody’s just hungry for camera time and lies, the audience is over it.”

Social media fans went crazy searching for the reunion, and several media houses suggested that Cast United would not feature anymore.
Netflix has not announced an official decision till 2024, but now the season has been released in October 2025.

In the upcoming season, the story dives into the toxic office feuds and LA listings amid market woes, new agent Sandra Vergara, Chelsea’s post-divorce life, and fires’ impact fuel the drama across more seasons.
Additionally, according to Elle’s magazine report before the release of the season, season 9 of Selling Sunset’s plot features, “The season also ended with Tiesi’s friend Amanda Lynn visiting The O Group offices and hinting that she’d like to join the company. As Lynn was responsible for telling Tiesi about the cheating allegations involving Lazkani’s husband, she’s unlikely to be welcomed by the show’s other agents. Plus, Lynn has faced allegations of racism after some of her old X posts resurfaced, Bustle reported, which would make her unpopular with cast members and viewers alike.”
