Taylor Swift surely knows how influential she is, and using that to make important statements is one of her favorite things to do. Not long ago, the internet flooded with rumors that ‘Joker’ actress Lady Gaga is expecting her first child with boyfriend Michael Polansky. Some people assumed that the 38-year-old singer was having a baby bump. However, to clear up the misunderstanding, Gaga posted a video on TikTok with a song from Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poet’s Department.
Taylor, meanwhile, slammed netizens by commenting on Gaga’s video.
Can we all agree that it’s invasive and irresponsible to comment on a woman’s body,”
Swift wrote.
Gaga doesn’t owe anyone an explanation and neither does any woman.
This response came after Gaga referenced one of Swift’s latest songs, ‘Down Bad,’ while clearing out the rumors. She posted a video in which the voiceover goes:
I don’t have to find an aesthetic. I am an aesthetic. I mean, I’m sure there’s somebody out here right now who’s going into Pinterest trying to type all these adjectives to describe me.
Moreover, the text over the video read, “Not pregnant–just down bad cryin’ at the gym.”
Gaga’s pregnancy rumors surfaced after her photos from her sister Natali Germanotta’s wedding went viral. Apart from Taylor, Gaga’s makeup artist, Sarah Tanno, also opened up about people spreading false rumors. She added on X,
Honestly, it’s really sad that she had to address this because people were commenting about her body, people should not be allowed to comment on other people’s body, fans have been saying for years that’s she was pregnant, just because how she looks in certain outfits

She concluded the tweet by saying that even if Gaga was pregnant, it was no one else’s business.
