Multiple United States government websites experienced an outage extending to over 20 minutes during President Biden’s State of the Union address to Congress.
According to several reports, major government websites, including the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the Secret Agency, faced technical difficulties on Thursday night. As per a search engine from the federal United States government, maintenance was scheduled on Thursday between 3 pm to 6 pm.
Further, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security also stated that the issue has been resolved now. The cause of the outage is still unknown; however, they have solved problems related to its website and other domains.
They shared the news on X and stated,
We are currently investigating and working to resolve an outage with https://t.co/bsXWDfJOfA and component domains. We will restore the sites as soon as possible.

However, soon, they shared another post saying
In the related event, Biden, possibly in the most important speech of his political career, talked about Donald Trump without directly mentioning his name. He targeted him based on Trump’s support for Russian President Vladimir Putin and for having conservative thoughts about the right to abortion.
He repeatedly targeted Trump, saying “my predecessor” and raised his voice to end the voter’s concerns regarding his job performance. The 81-year-old democratic eased the age-related concerns that voter had in their minds and appeared energetic throughout the address.
