US Presidential Elections: Did “The Simpsons” Already Predicted The Result?

The Simpsons, an American animated sitcom, has again gained the audience’s attention for prediction, amid the US presidential elections.

An episode which screened 24 years ago, in 2000, showcased Lisa Simpson becoming the first female president of the United States. Lisa Simpson was seen in Season 11 Episode 17, lamenting the “budget crisis” “President Trump” behind that she now has to deal with. In the episode, she was seen wearing a purple suit and a pearl necklace, resembling Kamala Harris’ dress-up during a 2021 inauguration.

Meanwhile, the prediction went viral after an X handle, Shadow of Ezra, shared about the striking resemblance, saying, “The 17th episode of the 11th season of The Simpsons shows Lisa Simpson as the first female president of the United States, dressed similarly to Kamala Harris at Joe Biden’s inauguration. This episode, which aired in 2000, strongly suggests that real estate mogul Donald Trump became president and left behind a budget crisis for Lisa to handle.”

Writer Says “I’m Proud Of”

Soon after the X post went viral, several eminent personalities went on to share the unusual prediction. The writer and executive producer of the show, on social media, X, shared the post saying, “.@TheSimpsons “prediction” I’m proud to be a part of.”
