We are aware that private photos and videos of UW volleyball student-athletes that were never intended to be shared publicly are being circulated digitally. The unauthorised sharing is a significant and wrongful invasion of the student-athletes’ privacy, including potential violations of university policies and criminal statutes,” mentioned UW athletes in a statement.
The UW report also claimed that, as soon as the team learned that the Wisconsin volleyball team’s pictures were being shared on social media, members of the Volleyball team contacted the university police to file a report.

Although UWPD didn’t mention the whereabouts of the viral photographs, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel received one of the Wisconsin Volleyball Team’s private photos from an unrevealed person who claimed that this was one of the photos in question. Meanwhile, the explicit photograph was taken inside the women’s locker room, where team members were seen posing with their sports bras uplifted.
Soon after the case came to the police’s attention, most of the photos and videos related to the Wisconsin Volleyball team pictures were removed from the Internet.
